Wednesdays in May/June --- 6 Week Pre-Intermediate Wheel Throwing Group Course
Wednesday evenings from 6 am - 8:30 pm, May 14th - June 18th with Alana McDowell
Level 2 Wheel Throwing
You can comfortably center and throw a cylinder or bowl on your own - now you're ready to level up your skills.
This course will build on foundational wheel throwing techniques that the student’s already possess. Students must have already taken an introductory course at MUD or elsewhere and be able to comfortably throw 500 gram cylinders and bowls. Students will focus on throwing with larger amounts of clay, and making more complex pieces. Our instructor Alana will spend time demoing new techniques that will help students become more confident and proficient on the wheel to the point where they can troubleshoot any issues and successfully make things with intention.
✷ Small class size of 6 students per course means more hands-on instruction for you!
✷ Students have access to mega-discounted 2 hour drop-ins to practice skills during the course.
✷ Includes all supplies: firings, studio glazes (over 30 beautiful options), underglazes, use of tools and unlimited clay.
✷ Each student receives a studio guide book to borrow for the duration of the course, that includes infographics and step by step instructions to help remind you of the many steps (useful for drop-in practice sessions) and for studying outside of class.
✷ Age 16+ (please see our after school and teen specific programs, or book a private class for groups of 4+ kids).
✷ ✷ ✷
All students are required to sign a liability waiver before the start of class.
